Case reports of medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) treated with uncultured stromal vascular fraction and L-PRF

Medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) is a challenging affection, considering absence “Gold Standard” treatment. Cell therapy and tissue engineering, using adipose-tissue stromal vascular fraction (SVF) containing mesenchymal cells (MSC) endothelial progenitor (EPC); scaffold with healing properties, l-platelet-rich fibrin (L-PRF), could be therapeutic option. Two cases MRONJ were treated by engineering. The patients presented respectively stage-II stage-III MRONJ. protocol consists SVF injection in L-PRF applied on cleaned bone. Patients are followed clinically medical imaging (MI) for 18 months. buccal mucosa was closed within month. No recurrence observed during follow-up. MI highlighted bone formation. MSC EPC presence, SVF, confirmed immunophenotyping. We report preliminary results successfully association autologous fresh L-PRF-SVF.
